Crossing Rías Baixas and Atlantic Islands National Park

Program

Day 1:
Embarkation at 10:00h. We will set sail at 10:30 a.m. after settling in, a brief presentation and sailing tips.
We will travel to the island of Ons. Lunch on board or in one of the restaurants on the island. We will have time to visit the island, swim in its beaches, etc.
In the afternoon, we will sail along the Pontevedra estuary, where we will decide whether to spend the night at anchor or in one of the ports.

Day 2:
We will depart to sail the Ría de Aldán where we will anchor to enjoy its wonderful beaches of crystal clear waters. Lunch on board.
In the afternoon we will set course for the Vigo estuary, where we will anchor to spend the night on board.

Day 3:
We will visit Cíes Islands, its beaches, its routes with signposted itineraries, its protected species, etc.
In the afternoon we will depart again towards the Vigo estuary to get to know the southern part of the estuary.

Day 4:
We start sailing north towards the Pontevedra estuary, where we will visit its most emblematic ports, such as Sanxenxo or Combarro, where we will be able to visit its stores, commercial premises, restaurants, etc.

Day 5:
Return trip to the Arousa estuary, where we will anchor in one of its paradisiacal beaches to have lunch on board. Sailing to home port.
Docking around 19:00h.
At 19:30h, end of the experience, comments, acknowledgements, farewells, etc.

Visit the Rías Baixas and the Atlantic Islands National Park in this one-week trip in which we will sail the three most emblematic estuaries of Galicia: the Ría de Arousa, the Ría de Pontevedra and the Ría de Vigo. In addition, we will visit the three most important islands that form this national park, with the highest degree of environmental protection in the country: Ons, Cíes and Sálvora.

These three estuaries offer unique conditions for sailing at any time of the year, making them ideal for enjoying the sea, nature, tranquility and relaxation that this unique environment offers. We will visit the beach chosen and ranked as the best among the 10 most beautiful in the world, according to the prestigious British magazine The Guardian.

Also during the week, if you are curious, you can participate in all the maneuvers and tasks of navigation: mooring, handling sails, helm …. You will also learn nautical terminology and interpretation of the meteorology to choose the best route, etc. You will be a real sea wolf, an experience you will remember for the rest of your life!

The boat

Visit the Rias Baixas and the National Park of the Atlantic Islands in a luxury sailboat for 10 people, equipped with all the details of a boat of last generation. It has all the comforts on board: kitchen, oven, refrigerator, living room, 2 full cabins, bathroom, shower, TV, Hi-Fi Mp3, DVD, mattresses and solarium in the cockpit, folding platform, bathing ladder, spray hood, bimini top, dinghy with outboard engine, etc..

You can sail and visit the national park of the Atlantic islands, anchor in any of its paradisiacal beaches, or eat and taste the typical dishes of the Galician gastronomy: octopus, seafood, fish from our estuaries… Contemplate a wonderful sunset or enjoy sailing between rafts and knowing the customs of the ancient arts.
